Day 5 – Walking In The Vancouver Rain

image

Today we decided to walk arround the neighborhood we are staying in at the moment – arround

image

After breakfast Joel and little Oliver our couchsurfing hosts came with us for a walk to show us arround, and point us in the rigth directions.

We went down to the beach and figured that it was a good place to start our day.

The view was beautiful. Who could believe that ib a city this big could be so much nature and quiet surroundings.

image

Even with grey skies it still had it’s charme.

image

And when the rain was really comming down we could just sit under a tree and relax.

This particular tree had lots if names written in it, so we figured that we could carve our own initials too.

This trip really has made us spend a lot of quality time together as a couple and we both agree that it’s healthy and something we will remember as long as we live.

image

I even think it will help us grow alot both individualy and as a couple. So far we have only good things to say. We love it here!

There are a lot of things to see and the artwork is everywhere arroynd the city.

Even the benches are engraved with memorials of people and even cats. It’s a really special thing to do.

Being here makes you feel a bit small and child like. Seeing things for the first time or just from a different perspective.

This poem I actually find really funny and I can relate to it in so many ways. Since we have a lot of rain in the Faroes to. But as my mother always says “Nothing is that bad that it ain’t good for something”.

We visited the space centre in Vancouver and John was happy to find home in the map.

It was actually quite interesting and I can say for sure that I know more about stars now than I did yesterday.

Make a wish! Hopefully this one will come true.

We spent most of this evening hanging out at our CS hosts house, making dinner, drinking the and just chatting with Joel and Sarah who have made our first CS experience a really good one. They are really nice people and there son Oliver is adorable.

Tomorrow we will be going ti Granville Island to have a look around and there will be a blog later.

Take care 🙂
