Rick the same guy that took us for a plane ride the other day, also owns a Pizza place. Those who know john all know that he LOVES pizza, so ofcourse we went to the Red Crow.
Actually Rick had heard about the potato pizza I made over at Ambers place and invited us over so I could teach him how ti make it. They have never heard of potato pizza over here.
Ofcourse I was hounerd to be able to make my very own pizza at an actual pizza place. I love making food and even see it more as a creation than just something you eat.
The pizzas at the Red Crow cafe were amazing. One of the best I’ve tried in my entire life. I especially loved the Chicken man and Johns favorite was the potato pizza Rick made.
Also John ofcourse got Rootbeer. He is getting slightly addicted to it. But his excuse is that he has to drink as much of it as possible while he can, so he hopefully gets tired of it before we go back home. Since we can’t get Rootbeer in the Faroes.
We actually went to the Red Crow two times. The second time was to just hang out and learn some more about having your own food business, what’s important and how to get started. Rick has had tree pizza places in South Africa and is now starting on his second in Canada.
It’s pretty darn inspirational to hear about how he started this place in Lac La Hache without even knowing how to make pizza, until now makeing one of the best pizzas ever.
He even told us storyes about his time as a pilot in greenland and up North. About getting stuck in the snow and searching for other lost planes.
And showed us lots of really cool pictures from his time in Greenland.
And this picture of how close it actually is between Greenland abd Canada. Isn’t it awesome?
Otherwise we talked over a beer, had pizza and he showed us arround the place and gave us some really good tips to start of with, when we start our own place.
It was very interesting and we had a really good time. Both me and John agree on that Rick is one of those fantastic persons you know you’ll never forget and will always see as character of inspiration.
