After a good stay with our Couch surfing hosts in the esquimalt area of town, it was time for us to head over to the other side of the bay for our stay at the Huntingdon hotel for two days.
What better way to do so than in a water taxi? It was way faster and shorter than walking and for 5 $ it was a bargain.
And I didn’t even get really seasick.
Even though we came in at Fishermans warf, we decided to head straigth for the hotel to get rid of our luggage and come back there later on.
After checking in at the hotel we went for a walk arround downtown.
Everything seams so posh here and a bit more elegant than any other city we have ever been in.
I mean it’s not every day you see a carriage in the middle of traffic rigth? Well here it is.
Even the city lights are beautifull.
And not to mention the garbage disposals. Aren’t they awesome?
And all of the beautiful flowers, they’re everywhere.
On our walk we decided to stop for some coffee and cookies at a local coffe place.
A really nice and good cafe called miriage.
Hehe… These pictures were just a funny gesture to my little brothers, whom I know are following the blog, even though they can’t read it. I sure am starting to miss them by now.
Later on that nigth we went to this great restaurant called milestones. As a recommendation from this very nice women whom we got a ride with from Lac La Hache to Victoria.
The food was spectacular and the restaurant had a terrific atmosphere. So thank you Donna for recommending it.
We even dressed up for the occasion. I sure think John was really handsome in his shirt and blazer.
To end another amazing day we walk along the bay and enjoyed the beatiful view. We really do love this city!
